HEC INFORMS UNIVERSITIES TO STOP ADMISSION IN MA,MSC PROGRAMS
Higher Education Commission Islamabad HEC has clarified that the MA MSc degree is being phased out and students will not be able to seek admission to this program after December 31, 2020. The degrees of the Students registered after December 31, 2020, will not be recognized by HEC.
The letter issued by the HEC to the higher education institutions states that it was decided at the 31st meeting of the Higher Education Commission that the two-year MA / MSc degree program has been terminated and letters were sent to universities and institutions of higher learning in March 15, 2017
The letter once again informs the heads of the institutions to ensure implementation of this decision and also to inform the students about it through other means including their websites. Degrees of the students pursuing a two-year MA / MSc degree after 31 December 2020 will not be recognized.
